Is the boat ramp available for the general public to use or do I have to be a member?

The boat ramp is available 24 / 7 to everyone, members pay an annual fee for unlimited access, while non member casual users pay $ 15 by EFTPOS at the Barrier Arm which allows one in and out entry/exit, plus short term parking when space allows.

How can I become a member of the Motueka Power Boat Club?

You need to complete the current Membership Application Form ( found under on our Members Page), complete this and email to the Treasurer@mpbc.co.nz, pay online with appropriate details indicating how you wish to receive your access card.

Or ;
Go into Bays Boating, 15 King Edward St, Motueka, complete the membership form and pay there, they will provide you an access card at the same time.

Membership subscriptions go through to the 31st August each year, in September each member will be sent an invoice to renew membership for the following year. These subscriptions are due for payment no later than 15th October, reminders are sent out and any overdue accounts at the start of November are cut off.

What happens if the trailer car park is full and I cant find a place to park?

Parking can be difficult over the busy summer months, over night parking and single car parking is prohibited. There is alternative parking available along Massey Street ( details shown on sign beside Gate). Please do not park in Talleys Staff carpark across the road as this is needed for their staff.

How do I get a berth for my boat in the marina?

Contact our Marina Supervisor, by texting 027 6633 995 or emailing supervisor@mpbc.co.nz. Provide details of the boat, ie length and the dates you require a berth.

Note : We have a Wait List for berths, however a new extension of the marina is planned so if you are looking for a berth in the future please put your name on the Wait List by contacting the Marina Supervisor.

ALL boats berthed in the marina, even visiting for haulout, must provide evidence of Public Liability Insurance Cover to a minimum of $1,000,000 before entering the Marina.

Can I get my launch hauled out in Motueka?

To have your boat hauled out on the MPBC Ramp please contact Marc Wilson at Port Motueka Marine Services 021 0224 7449 or email pmmservices@icloud.com.

Do you have any long term boat storage on the hard?

The Motueka Power Boat Club does not have any spare area for long term boat storage on land.

Can we fuel up at the marina?

The Motueka Power Boat Club Marina does not have a fuelling facility.
The closest fuel depot is NPD Self Serve approx. 1km back towards Motueka Township.
The MPBC has a refuelling policy for any refuelling option in excess of 20L containers.
Emergency Spill kits are located at the marina.
